McAllister Olivarius deploys Repstor technologies for flexible matter management

Belfast, December 18th , 2018Repstor, the ECM software and matter management specialist, today announced that international law firm McAllister Olivarius has selected its affinity™ and assist™ solutions, to provide direct filing of case-related emails in SharePoint Online from Outlook.

The firm had migrated its office productivity, document management and collaboration tools to the cloud, adopting Microsoft SharePoint Online within Microsoft Office 365 (O365) as its new standardised application platform. However, McAllister Olivarius needed a way of organising and filing case related documents and emails.

This meant introducing a complete and reliable record of all correspondence, all retained in – and easily accessible from – a single central place. Repstor provides this platform and extends the powerful collaboration capabilities of Microsoft Office 365/SharePoint with a matter-centric collaboration and document management solution for legal matter management.

“Repstor has a very stable product which I can see becoming the de facto option for legal matter management in SharePoint Online,” explains Honza Cervenka, IT project manager, McAllister Olivarius. “The experience feels very familiar and intuitive to users, and the software is highly versatile. It’s also backed up by a great level of local support.”

An early trial confirmed that Repstor affinity and assist were a good fit, and supplemented SharePoint Online’s built-in browser interface well. The solution was deployed rapidly, thanks to Repstor’s specialist product consultants.

Next, the firm is due to trial Repstor’s mobile solution and Honza is enthusiastic about the potential for McAllister Olivarius team members to use Repstor’s email filing and access capabilities on the move: “As we are an international firm, our fee earners travel a lot, so having the ability to file case-related correspondence between locations will be invaluable in keeping our lawyers productive and in the loop,” adds Honza.

“We are delighted that another international law firm is benefitting from the flexibility, security and ease-of-use provided by Repstor,” comments Sheila Gormley, Global Head of Repstor’s Legal Solutions Division. “It further demonstrates how we are disrupting the market in legal matter management, allowing McAllister Olivarius to fully benefit from the wider suite of Microsoft’s cloud offerings.”

New Partnership with M-Files Brings in New Business for Repstor

  • As an M-Files Certified Application Partner, Repstor has secured several new customer wins
  • Repstor will sponsor and present at M-Files’ upcoming partner conference

Belfast, May 8th , 2018 – Repstor, the ECM adoption company that helps businesses exploit their ECM investments, has today announced a strategic partnership with intelligent information management solution provider M-Files and reports a series of new early customer wins.

Repstor has been awarded Certified Application Partner status by M-Files. Through the technology alliance, it has integrated the M-Files Intelligent Information Management system within its Repstor affinity™ Outlook plugin, adding email management and making it second-nature for Outlook-centric workers to keep storing key documents and associated communications to the M-Files system – even when users are on the move.

Noting the appeal of the tight integration between the two platforms, Dr. Petri I. Salonen, Americas General Manager at Repstor, said, “If people have to take special actions to keep content organised, it can jar with the way they instinctively want to work. Yet, without every user storing files in the right places, things can unravel quickly. Repstor addresses this issue directly, using software that companies have already invested in.”

Meanwhile IT decision-makers can reap additional returns from their existing investments in both Microsoft and M-Files software, knowing this is now driving more efficient, standardised working practices and more controlled and effective collaboration.

Since forming the technology alliance, Repstor has agreed to sponsor and speak at M-Files’ annual Global Partner Conference, taking place from May 29-June 1st in Miami, Florida.

Repstor affinity reduces Outlook PST storage & enhances SharePoint collaboration at global automotive supplier Brose

Brose is a large global automotive supplier. Its mechatronic systems for doors, seats
or electric motors and drives can be found in every second new vehicle around the
world today. The company, which is over a century old and is still family owned today,
employs more than 25,000 people across 60 locations in 23 countries.

Brose depends on IT to enable dispersed global teams to collaborate on customer projects.
It means it can field the right knowledge experts without any concerns about location.
The company has 15,000 Microsoft Office users internationally, Exchange mailbox servers sited
in Europe, Asia and North America, and a central SharePoint farm located in Germany.

Despite having central file shares and SharePoint collaboration portals, Brose’s project teams were
defaulting to email to hold and retrieve project-related information and documents, in the form of Outlook
personal folders (PST data files). A lot of time could be spent locating the latest version of content, and the
over-reliance on PST files located on the local network was consuming a lot of expensive storage. Also, if
users were unavailable or left the company, there was no easy way to get at the information held in their
email folders.

Repstor Marks Business Growth and Expansion by taking up Residence at the Iconic Scottish Provident Building

Repstor moves offices to Belfast’s most prestigious location on Donegall Square and announces a doubling of revenues year on year

July 3rd, 2017 – Repstor, the ECM adoption company that helps businesses exploit their SharePoint and Office 365 investments, is today celebrating its business growth and expansion with an office move to the Scottish Provident Building.

Considered the best location in Belfast city centre, the Donegall Square-located Scottish Provident Building is immediately adjacent to Belfast City Hall and mere steps away from all the best city centre establishments, restaurants, shops and transport links. Repstor will join other resident technology companies including aPriori, Blackduck Software, Unosquare and BDNA.

Repstor, which is approaching its financial year-end, has seen a doubling of revenues over the same period last year for the second year running. The surge reflects increasing demand from global and national brands, which are exploiting Repstor’s ECM adoption technologies to better exploit their investments in ECM platforms like Box, M-Files, OpenText, HP and particularly Office 365 and SharePoint. Further bolstering Repstor’s success are its case and matter management products which are being deployed by several Law firms and legal departments, most notably Eversheds Sutherland, gunnercooke, ForFarmers, Pentland Brands, Value Retail and Boels Zanders Advocaten.

Partnerships too have gone from strength to strength this year. In March the company announced a new partnership with international law firm, Eversheds Sutherland and together launched ES /Unity™ a new matter management solution powered by Repstor at the British Legal Technology Forum in London in March. Built exclusively for the Microsoft SharePoint/O365 platform and offering native integration into Microsoft Outlook, the software has been designed from the outset to be Cloud ready but also have the flexibility to be deployed on client’s own networks if required. Eversheds Sutherland Consulting will focus on project management and working with clients to maximise the business benefits of using legal matter management technology, with Repstor providing the technical software expertise.

Since its launch in March, ES /Unity has attracted global and national attention and its first customers will be announced in the coming weeks.
Among Repstor’s latest high-profile customer wins is a key UK Public sector organisation, a large scale Real Estate organisation, regulatory organisations in the US and EU, a specialist European Insurer and another of the Big 4 consultancies. Eversheds Sutherland, a top 40 Global law firm, deployed Repstor’s custodian for legal™ as its firm-wide matter management solution and German automotive supplier, Brose is also amongst Repstor’s latest new customer acquisitions.

CEO of Repstor Alan McMillen added:

‘We are delighted to have had another very positive year of growth. We have added new products to our suite, launched ES /Unity with Eversheds Sutherland, unveiled a new mobile content management platform and we’re expanding our partner programme. This move to the Scottish Provident building gives us the flexibility and growth to support our future plans and we look forward to welcoming our customers, partners and prospects to visit over the coming months.”

In addition to new customer acquisitions, Repstor has seen deepening technology adoption across existing customers. “Once they’ve seen the impact of our ECM adoption and case/matter management technologies, it’s very common for our clients to want to build on that success through additional ECM innovation,” Alan says. “Often an organisation will start off by incorporating our Outlook integration/Repstor affinity™ into their Office 365 or SharePoint platforms and, when they see the uplift in user interaction and adoption, they’re keen to push things to the next level, increase licences and add on complimentary technologies.”
